Mobile facial spa serves Stouffville, Aurora and more

Pampering yourself just got easier, thanks to the co-owners at Faceology Mobile Facial Spa who bring facials and specialty treatments to you.

Whether you’re wearing a business suit or your cosy track pants, step into Faceology’s spacious van for a quick, 30-minute facial on your lunch break or a longer treatment after a gruelling day. Whatever your attire, co-owners Tina Griffin and Aaryn McInnes-Riccadonna, want you to feel relaxed, comfortable and at your best.

“We are the first mobile facial spa in Canada, and the whole idea behind this is convenience,” says McInnes-Riccadonna. “The more convenient and accessible ways to feel well and be well in our busy lives, the better.”

Offering treatments such as customized facials, microdermabrasion, hydradermabrasion, peels and micro-needling, Faceology has served clients at corporate events, birthday parties, bridal parties, family get-togethers, spa dates and personal visits. All booked services include a face, neck and scalp massage.

The idea behind Faceology came to Griffin and McInnes-Riccadonna, who live two houses away from each other, while giving facials to friends, sipping wine and relaxing. They had been doing facials for their friends, their friends’ friends, and so on and found joy in making people feel well. 

“We looked at each other and said, ‘OK, let’s do it!’ says McInnes-Riccadonna. The business launched in July 2022. Griffin has worked for more than 30 years in the industry, focused on skin care and teaches medical esthetics part-time at various colleges. McInnes-Riccadonna is a certified yoga teacher, skin care therapist and entrepreneur of a mobile yoga/running/ wellness business within the Greater Toronto Area.

“Our skin is the first thing to react when there’s something wrong internally and as we age, the cell regeneration process goes down,” says Griffin. “We help encourage that cell regeneration process to speed back up to that 28-day cycle that we had when we were younger. 

“There are so many benefits to treatments for skin health, mental health and for self-confidence. Our clients not only feel good when they step out of the van, but within a week’s time, they see the results of the treatments and the changes in their skin.”

Located at the north end of Ninth Line in Stouffville near Aurora, Faceology serves clients within an hour’s drive, but will absorb travel fees to locations outside local areas depending on the type of booking and meeting the minimum number of guests. 

“We’ve been to Muskoka, Prince Edward County, to people who have rented Airbnbs … If there’s a daughter who has a senior mom with disability issues and they can’t come into the van, we can bring everything inside,” says McInnes-Riccadonna.

Faceology also offers memberships so clients can book services for several months at a time. “A lot of clients say they look forward to getting treatments and that it makes their week, their month, so that’s a nice thing to hear,” says Griffin.
